Description Apophysis 7x and Paint.Net

I think we have all caught lightning bugs (fireflies, or whatever you call them) at one point in our lives. Good times...

Two Apo fractals and a glass sphere and wood texture made in PDN. No stocks were used. The best way to create a wood texture from scratch in PDN can be found at the other end of this [link]

Lots of work my friend! The trick is to just take it one task at a time. All I really did was make a wood texture, make a glass sphere, two Apo renders, and blend them all together. I think the lighting really made this one POP.
(sorry for rambling...)
Thank you!

WOW! Thank you so much Chrisco! That means a lot! After I got the wood texture I wanted, I did a lot of brush work on a different layer. I blurred and dented it a lot to make the shadows look good. and thank you for the !

I don't know if mystifying is the right word, but that's what first came to mind. The wood texture makes me speechless as well as the orb itself with the fireflies. By the way, I love fireflies because they're so beautiful and glowing.

Mystifying is a great word for it! Im am glad you like the orb, because it was the one part of the entire picture that took the most time to do. I had a lot of help from my last glass ball picture (the one using xmario's tutorial). I fixed the link to Welshy's wood tutorial on PDNfans, which is what I used. I like fireflies too, I dont know why, but I do...

Thank you for your comment and !
