Atmospheric piece, this one.. it kind of oozes desperation and fear. And thus reminds me of Dead Space and (a video game) and Event Horizon (a movie). Are you familiar with them? Also have your read David Moody's novels? Hater, Autumn etc.

BTW; Your podcast sounds very interesting.. I have to check it out. More comments on that, later.

I'm finding that illustration extremely well done!
Now I haven't listened to the storyline yet, but really, the detail work is great, and what's even greater is the face and the headgear:
The way it's broken and the way he's looking at you.
Also the subtle way that his head - as I see it - turns more skullish the further down towards the chin it goes gives it a very ghostly touch, same goes for the colour balance.
