Ultra Fractal 5.04I tried so hard to colour this one differently but I could only use my classic "separate shape and colour" technique - which has way too many flaws and MUST be either improved or changed. Anyhow, the jewels didn't come out that bad at all, in the end.

You may know this technique already,... but one of the best ways I like to add color to my pieces is to use the coloring "iteration". I have sent along an example for you . Layer one is the stucture..... layer two is the iteration layer..... and then I added a simple texture layer.

Ah yes, Iteration colouring! I have used it at times, but I am no expert in it. I'm still working on that. I tried it for this fractal too, but I couldn't get a palette that was any better, or less flat, than the gradient I have now. Darn! :mad:
