um, i'm pretty sure that helmet is actually Grecian. The romans favored the gallic emperium or coolus design, as well as chain mail and the gladius design for their blades, all of which were engineered from popular celtic designs. At the point they had those big ass shields.
Anyways, pretty sure what yuh got there is a Greek helmet on a roman soldier.

Heheh, yeah you're probably right, but the project they're made for has snake monsters, dragons and all kinds of fantasy monsters in it. These aren't really historical minis, these Legionaries are also scavengers I was told, so maybe they picked these helmets up from fallen Grecian types? anyhow, this is another set I made for that project, which shows that fantasy angle. It's like an alternate reality of our world where monsters and other crazy stuff hapns. Thanx for checking it out and commenting.
