As the Butcher descends down the stairs towards SLy and Carmelita, Sly then realizes that he something that he may have something that could save them.

Sly: Now this is a good time.

Carmelita: For what?

Sly: To make a wish.

Remembering the Ring that would grant one wish that he received, Sly begin to rub it.

Sly: I wish this monster would go back to where it came from and never return.

As the Butcher advances, it suddenly begins to shimmer and fade away. Then it vanishes completely leaving the stairway clear to climb. Then the ring vanishes for its use is now exhausted.

Carmelita: Thanks. Ringtail. Very noble to sacrifice your wish.

Sly: Well, I certainly wouldn't want anything to happen to you, Carmelita. Let's go.

As they climb up the steps, Carmelita lets out a sigh.

Carmelita (in her thoughts) : If we were only on the same side of the law...
