Biography
As a young man, explorer and scientist Harvey Rupert Elder was mocked for both his short, doughy appearance and his unusual theories of the Earth being hollow and home to many strange creatures. On one of his expeditions however, he fell into a chasm and discovered an entrance to a labyrinth of tunnels deep within the Earth known as Subterranea. Venturing deeper into Subterranea, Harvey would discover an abandoned Deviant outpost and use it's technology to become ruler of the native Moloid people. Dubbing himself the Mole Man, he began a campaign of attacks on the surface world that had mocked him, using an army of giant underground-dwelling monsters to attack human cities only to be repelled by heroes such as the Fantastic Four. In recent years the Mole Man has become a more passive ruler, dedicated to protecting his Moloids and giant monstrous pets and hiding away from the surface world. He regularly clashes with other Subterranean powers such as the warlord Tyrannus.
