Biography
Revenge was the motive for Steven Hudak's criminal career. As a result of getting fired from his job for embezzlement after being framed by a co-worker, he created a special armored suit and attacked his former place of work. This brought him into conflict with Spider-Man, who turned Hudak over to the police. Hudak's suit, comprising a large metallic body shell topped by a clear dome, was packed full of equipment that can generate fire and flame. He could create walls of heat or devastating fiery blasts. The suit insulated Hudak from the extreme heat he generated and the later addition of a jetpack enabled flight. The suit also protected him from most conventional forms of injury, useful in conflict with other superheroes. He carved out an effective, if not spectacular career as a solo costumed criminal. Aptly, he called himself "Scorcher".
