Okay, I needed to draw these two interacting in some way and couldn't get out of my head that practically every time Lestat meets Armand he thinks of some way to pretty him up (not that he actually needs it!) so I thought, why not draw one such scene?

Armand has grudgingly agreed to Lestat's experiment and is now slightly miffed that the Brat Prince isn't paying proper attention to his handiwork (or to Armand himself)

This is stunning. On a technical and conceptual level, this is serveral years above your other stuff.
What's so good about it? The very subtle gradient coloring in greyscales, for one. Then there's the thickness of the lines you chose to draw Lestat's chin and mouth with -- the way you picked exactly the right lines to make extra thick. The dynamism of their pauses, too. The style clothes they wear serves to corroborate my idea that somehow this is perhaps inspired by British underground music (although, it's propably visual kei, right? Reminds me vaguely of some of Hiroki Mafuyu's artwork). You know you draw hair well, but it deserves special mention in this case -- one can almost feel how thick the lock of hair Lestat is about to cut is. In regard to Armand's face, the tour de force is not that you can recognize him -- it's how few lines you use to achieve a great level of detail in his face.

oooh*.* so much praise Thanks, hon and you're right, it is ofc inspired by VK, but also just the general voluptuous feel of Anne's books, there's page upon page about lace, velvet and silk, so I wanted some of that heavy feel to appear on him I don't know if it's entirely true that this is above my usual standard, mostly because I'm not sure how much of what you point out was actually conscious effort (except for Armand's face, I wanted it to have a very particular expression), but I had immense fun drawing it and I wasn't rushing anything for once

haha thanks I don't know if the idea's good as such, but I had to draw it The quote is the first written thing in the Assassin's Creed II-novel and the first thing I thought was, 'omg that's what Armand did in Venice!' so, it's tailored for him

Aw... so cute... Armand's face is amazing... He fits so well in this rocker stile^^ I'm glad that Lestat is not cutting his hair... I like long hair better XD

Thanks so much! - I give in to the urge of making Armand the classic dark goth/rock - vamp at times, I can't quite help it, his baby-face goes so well with that and yeah, Lestat would never mangle a mane like Armand's, it's way too pretty - he's just experimenting a bit
