I also prefer this one, over the used concept - the tumors on the head look far more menacing and evil.

i think i would of preffered this version in the game. the bubbled look just makes it look so much more hellish. i mean i love the feral dont get me wrong (i'd adopt one in a instant

OBVIouSLY like i said before amazing AMAZING job on the painting, and i know you didnt do the desighn for this as well, but kinda wish this was pushed more than the other , that bubbled top realy would have hleped more as a uneqe adaption of the demon dogs reprsented in silent hill games. though it difenatly could have lose the teath and the claws but still i love how you paint raw flesh like that its a shame it wasnt more well represented in the final product, IF THIS was what we saw like the little lines in the sacks you put it would just add to it so greatly.

The feral was originally designed by another character artist but that version didn't end up working in the game. I redesigned it, and people still had issues with it so I did a bunch of variations. The whole teeth and claws thing was pushed on me when doing the design. There was a strong push to make the enemies look more dangerous by adding things like that. So in the end I didn't fully design the feral but I did at least as much as the other artist did in designing it. It was originally green and looked more like a skinned dog that was rotten/road kill.

i love the material, seeing that model on movemen would have been great (specially the ribcage and head blobs)

Yeah I really liked this design. I was sad when they didn't go with it. The shaders and movement on it would have been so cool.

I have so many projects going on and a full time job I honestly don't have the time to do it. I am on to bigger and better things. LOL. I worked so long on that dog that I am burned out on it. The feral was a nightmare of a character to work on. More of a nightmare to work on than an actual nightmare monster in the game. It almost got cut.

I think I like this version a little better than the final version, but it isn't as streamlined as the complete one. Either way my opinion doesn't matter

Except for an old game back for Playstation 1.

True, but abstract daddy was kind of there quadruped. The nurses and dogs seemed to be the ones that are in just about all Silent Hills. So we had to put those in. There was allot of pressure to have most of what was in the movie as well.
