Description One of the first photos I took when I moved to Japan in 2006. Forget where this is exactly, near a major station I remember, but I forget

Just wandering through my old photos.

Tokyo, Japan

the reason we don't make crosswalks like that in America: You'd get run over.

LoL
Makes sense why I'm totally off base then.
They were repairing Tokyo station and doing maintenance on some of the surrounding buildings/streets when I was there.

Tilt-shift lens or some tilt-filter ? I think it's filter, but very nice effect

Yeah that was originally the idea, but the effect was done in photoshop, diddnt turn out as I had hoped, and just left it there

the tilt shift effect is really nice ^~^

I heard there is a special but expensive camera to do it~

Not sure if its the camera or the lens that does it. But this diddnt use any of that, it's just a photoshop effect

that's so cool!
i didn't know PS can do such thing!

Nowadays PS is so Incredible that it's kinda hard to tell which is real and which is fake, which is the original and which is the manipulated.

Tilt shift faking is really simple to do.

... you've got to explain me something before I start giving out nonsensical blabbers about the picture... why is the picture blurred?

... ok - the 'nonsensical blabber' anyway - the partial 'skyline' could have given this picture a whole lot of balance contrasted to the sharp pitch street below... even in the blurred region you can see a color palette kind of thing on the top right corner... it could have looked really nice if it was not blurred, you've to tell me Sven, before I comment further, WHY BLURRED?

I was going for a tilt-shift effect on the roadway, but halfway through working on it realised it wasnt going to work, but I left it there anyway cos I thought it looked neat.
