Description I went to a park on the last vestige of warm weather before the rain came in and temps dropped that afternoon. I should have taken the kids out before the trees lost their leaves and look dead.

There is a walkway at this park, and Samantha didn't really like being outside in unfamiliar territory. This photo is one of the only ones where she seemed interested in what lies beyond.

Wow, that's just beautiful! But isn't it a bit unsafe to have them outside without a harness on? I have two little adorable monsters, and I'm sure they'd be off in a flash if I let them go!

I had a friend with me to keep an eye on one while I dealt with the other. And since it was open space, they wouldn't have gone far without me right in tow. Neither of mine ran anywhere. They just sniffed and sniffed and sniffed, or dug at any random spot.

They were perfectly safe.

Ah, okay, just making sure! Wouldn't want anything to happen to our little bandits now.

This photo brings one word to mind--a word that summarizes ferrets in its simplicity.
That word is: explore.

Yes! This could be the "Poster child" of every ferret that wants to check out everything (literally). They know no bounds when it comes to exploration.

Problem is, I know my little Sammy. She was very skittish during the whole event (her tail wasn't poofed because she was excited, more like she was alert).

My little girls poof something awful when exploring the unknown. My youngest doesn't have a tail (she was sold to us like that), so she nearly doubles in size with her fur, like a little bear. Fun stuff!

Thank you. I got kinda lucky with her looking at the side where the sun was at (in the morning even though it looks like late afternoon).
