Build: Ideal Sangre Caliente Dominicana, lowset nostrils and broad muzzle, slight roman nose, broad chest with long sturdy legs and sturdy hooves. She is slightly finer built, as most all around eventing bred SCD horses are. Her well muscled and powerful hind end makes her perfect for high level dressage, as well as enough engine and a light enough build to make her a powerhouse of an eventer. A well muscled high set neck, and nice compact overall shape for her height.

Personality: Hermosa is the barn princess. She knows what she likes and won't have it any other way. She prefers her turnout time alone, with the exception of sharing turnout with Starlight. Her water must be clear of any hay bits at all times and requires a bucket of warm water when she comes in from turnout, or else she will slam her stall door until someone brings her her warm bucket. Despite being a picky princess, she is a joy to handle and is gentle enough for children to lead. Under saddle she is cool and collected as she knows her job. Children can ride her, as she knows to take care of precious cargo. Despite this, when being ridden by Marcus or any of the more advanced students at Grimwood Manor, she is a controlled fire. Strong and focused, just an overall solid mare that is worth way more than her weight in gold.
