Description Serith was the first (intentional) OC I ever drew. She was created as my Zombie Loan OC back in 2011. I absolutely loved redrawing her, and I luckily found a few more drawings from the same time period that I may redraw. So, I present to you 7 years of progress.

you have surely improved, but you need to take more care in posing and in proportions.
now, i've seen some of your other pictures and they do seem more proportionate, so I believe you "forced" the pose on the picture.
i think you should exercise to have a "skeleton" of the pose you want to have on the picture, so that you can already define its placement and its proportions in the picture, and then you can more freely define the shapes composing the character.

of course, I am just giving you some suggestion, and I think you will get better more and more.

Thank you for the advice, I started practicing using the skeletons, and it really helped out in my newest drawing in particular!

Hi, I'm from project comment.

One thing my art teacher told me to help with stiff posing is to keep your hand and arm loose when drawing the base form of the figure.  She described being "tight" as having your hand firmly griping your pencil and trying to make an exact line rather then letting the natural movement of your hand flow onto the page.

The best way I can demonstrate is to give some examples.

(in case you can't read my bad handwriting)
Yes
-Hands loose for a natural flow
-Line of action showing flow and turn (shoulders left, hips right)
-structure showing general placement of; spine, shoulders, hips, head, arms, legs, hands and feet.

No
-Tight grip that minimizes natural motion
-No line of action
-No structure or forethought to the pose.

It takes a lot of practice to get right, I hope this helps

Neat design. I do like the hair and cap though.
