Description: The middle and second station along the Green Hill Railroad (every Friday becomes the unloading area for fish for market and rarely seawater)

Purposes: Passenger Station for the Grove Runner and small Freight Depot

Founders: Donavan Harket (later Donavan Harket the Lynx) and Miles "Tails" Prower

Biographical Summary: Green Hill's Town Square Station was initially not going to exist, just like its other two stations on both ends of the Green Hill Railroad (GHRR). Like the others, it was built as part of the compromise between Donavan Harket with the local villagers to have a passenger service in order to build the railroad. Due to its proximity with the center of Green Hill Village, local fishers at the Great Crater Lagoon wanted the railroad to ease their transport of fish over the lagoon's mountains to the center's market, which Donavan also obliged. He accepted as to keep the railroad looking favorable to the villagers. Hence, a small freight service to carry the fishers' catches and restock the village's food supply was created, being hauled every Friday. Due to the local well being occasionally tainted in addition to growing concern of the railroad's practicality as it neared completion, the village also demanded seawater to be transported and converted into storable drinking water. This lead not only to Donavan accepting this third offer involving the railroad, Tails also build a conversion system on-site for the seawater delivered by train to become drinking water, stored at the water tower adjacent to the unloading pipe. Following the GHRR's completion, the station saw regular service by the Grove Runner, always being the second and second-to-last stops every time the service was heading out from and back to Terminus Station. Its service continued uninterrupted until the Metarex Invasion of Mobius, which the Galaxy Express bound for the Blue Typhoon at Point Miles gathered its supplies, some Green Hill Freedom Fighter members, and volunteers at the station. The Galaxy Express was the last time the station saw a train for a while after it boarded and went to Outer Space on the Blue Typhoon for two weeks. Afterwards, the station resumed its service, being the central hub of the village's recovery of the Invasion and suffering from the after-effects of Mobius' Planet Egg being temporarily stolen. Until Point Miles was re-built to accommodate for its old station and the tunnel leading to it being destroyed (due to the Blue Typhoon's launch), Town Square Station became the eastern terminus of the GHRR until both a new station and tunnel were built. Eventually, it once again returned to its original purpose as a midpoint station of the railroad for two more years. However, the second year marked its final time it was used, being the site where the permanent evacuation train from Green Hill to Knothole was meant to depart. Due to the Destruction of Green Hill, the train, the station, and the rest of Green Hill with its railroad and the spur from the Royal Acorn Railroad were destroyed. Besides the Emmett Brown being the only part of the train to evacuate out of Green Hill, the rest never left the platform of Town Square Station. Unlike the rails, the remains of all the rolling stock, and the rest of the motive power present in what was Green Hill being scrapped, the burnt ashes of Town Square Station were left to rot. The salvageable remains were initially smelted down by a local factory made by a new adversary of the Green Hill Freedom Fighters, but their defeat signaled the end of the factory. Likewise for the rest of the former GHRR by the end of the War on the Second Eggman Empire six years later, Town Square Station was going to be restored to be a station for the restored GHRR as a heritage railroad. However, due to the foundation of the Republic of Acorn and subsequent ban of constructing heritage railroads by the Council of Acorn, this never occurred. Rather, the surrounding grounds where the station long since rotted away became part of the Green Hill Memorial Museum, the tracks next to the former station becoming part of the Green Hill Rail Trail. Because it rotted away, only the memory of it along with anything remaining that was GHRR-related was wiped away from existence.
