The sun was setting down on the outlands. On a melancolic afternoon, Vitani was taking a walk to try to rest her head for a little, because she was getting troubled by her own thoughts. The young lioness lay down in the top of a rock and sighed, looking at her reflection through the river. What she didn't expect was that her little brother was following her.

"Hey Tani, are you okay?" - Kovu asked, a little worried about his sister.

Vitani turned her head towards him and gave a corner smile, trying to hide how uncomfortable she was.

"Yes, i am perfectly good! Why?"

"I've just saw you walking around with a worried face, and it's not the first time this week. Are you sure you're okay?"

"No..." - She lowered her ears and head and looked at the other side.

"Then what's wrong?"

"I'm worried about our future, Kovu. I know mom wants to start a war with Simba because she wants to take our pride back, so we can have a better life on there. But it's this the unique way? Why everything needs to be about war everytime?"

"I don't know..." - The dark pelted one responded, in a sad tone. -"She always said Scar was a better king than Simba. But we barely know him! I hear stories all the time from another animals and pride members saying that he was a monster, while mom and the other outlanders like us says he was the best. Honestly, i'm confused..."

"Me too... I hope someday we find the truth, i'm really tired about this. And thinking about our actual situation... What if we can't handle to defeat Simba? What will become of us?"

"I've never thought about that... But you know? I think we will find a way out if we don't give up and keep fighting for it! Our time will come Tani, we just need to wait and see!" - He gave a sweet grim to the oldest girl, in a try to lift her up.

"You're right, Kovu. Thank you for the sweet words" - Vitani hugged him softly.

"You're welcome sis, i'll be always here for you!" - He hugged her back.

After some long hours spending time together, the sun completely set and they came back to their main cave to sleep. It would be an unforgettable afternoon for them.
