EDIT Thank you for so many valuable suggestions and advice for improving this! This is what dA is for. If you look closely you'll see that I already started giving this painting it's final tweaks. Guess there'll be one more change (regarding the arms) but then I'll have to leave it like this because it's taking too much of my time and I want to finish new paintings. And a HUGE thank you to everybody who loved and faved this!

EDIT (15.04.2010) WOOoooot???! I came home with such a bad mood and now I'm on cloud nine! A DD! I never thought I would get one of these. I promise, I'll read all of your comments and try to reply every single one of you.

A MILLION THANKS TO THE SUGGESTERS and but also to who suggested this too but for another category (np, dear! this counts for me just the same) - and many thanks to for featuring this!!!

EDIT: Fixed some of the things that bugged you and some of those that seemed to only bug me Hope it's better now... (I had only one hour so those are slight changes: some better shadows and light effects, improvement of the coat's shape, some color, saturation & texture-fixes, some more grass, a 5px blur on cocoon outline, and an overall grain effect to make it look more homogenic). Please comment if you detect something else to be fixed

Yep, I just arrived at Archylte Steppe and am finally seeing grass and the blue sky! What a relief! - Final Fantasy country finally, now I only need a Chocobo to make me happy. To celebrate the day I took a snapshot of Snow there and started to paint him.

It's all painted in Photoshop - but I'm using some free textures from cgtextures.com.

I've made a wallpaper in case you are interested:
