I know, I know, they don't exist! But I've always liked the Jem'Hadar for DS9, and always wondered what it would be like to introduce a female into that sausage party.

I had a concept written up where, in the Alternate Universe (which we never see the Dominion in – at least not on the TV show, I haven't read all of the books...), all of the Jem'Hadar were female and not male, and one somehow ended up in the primary DS9 universe. I had the idea that Jem'Hadar females looked pretty much like Jem'Hadar males: no breasts (no children, being that they are produced in factories like their counterparts), super tall and broad shouldered, so there was some fun introductions to the main cast. The idea never made it further than that basic concept and a name for Her: Rama'taka.

BUT, DS9 is streaming on netflicks, and I rewatched the whole series this week, so I thought I would end my workday by drawing my female Jem'Hadar character that will probably never see a story because I feel like I have enough to handle IRL and with the Middle Earth fan'fiction I am currently writing. Besides, as a story, it is a bit far fetched. Fun to contemplate, and I like feminizing traditionally male characters, but I think that the themes behind what I would do with her could be easily found in what they did with Taran'atar in the books.

Anyhoo... just a brain fart. She's fun to draw, at any rate. (She stole someone's axe because I did not feel like drawing a gun )
