What a wind farm. We don't have enough of those here in NY..we went out and took shots of the moon that night and ended up getting our van mired in the mud..had to get pulled out..

I'm in favour of them but many aren't here. There are to be many more on our east coast.. perfect place as it's almost always windy.
Oh dear.. that's not good

And I understand why they complain, they really muck up a beautiful landscape but, hey there's always photoshop..and we don't have much of a choice, we need renewable sources of energy to ease us out of oil dependency, solar, water, anything but that damn oil..of course then the industries would make a killing selling us the equipment to harness those resources..they'd have to, after all, you can't charge for the sunlight or the air now can you...

Not nearly as much as the horrible pylons, now they really cut through the landscape.
Indeed, needs must as we say

Hold that thought.. if theres a way i'm sure they'll find it & charge

Yeah if you get the wind turbines, they'll erect walls to stop the wind...or giant tents for the sunlight...

wow.. well, it sure didn't look this big over our area.. in fact i was quite disappointed with it..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Helens-Serendipity In reply to RickHaigh [2011-03-22 11:30:56 +0000 UTC]

It was supposed to be largest at just over the horizon...
they do say that to see it's real size you needed to look through a kitchen roll tube, something to do with the light reflecting of us onto it making it appear larger than it was

By the time we'd got home it just looked normal size

RickHaigh In reply to Helens-Serendipity [2011-03-22 12:30:26 +0000 UTC]

ahhh! well that explains it then.. live on the side of a valley, so by the time we actually see the moon it is well above the horizon..

Ahh... shame, it was only luck we happened to be going there
