Description
This picture fills me with accomplishment and a strange sense of fear.

Accomplishment because after many failed attempts at this drawing, I finally pulled together a rather flawed piece I kind-of like ^^

Fear because even though I used male refs and none of myself for posing and shading assistance, the facial features looked for quite some time scarily like my own... like some creepy, warped self portrait of me in cosplay... and that's just wrong. As much as I like Ed, I'm not that much of a Mary-Sue-esque geek to make him look like me.

And I can prove I wasn't using myself as a ref by steering you to THIS, which provided the main reference used by me for this drawing.

Much tweaking steered it away from disaster. Maybe I just stare in the mirror at my ugly mug in the morning so much that the image is burned horribly onto my retinas. Maybe my subconscious is kidding itself. Maybe it was just a strange coincidence that I managed to avert.

Can't have Ed looking too much like a girl now, can we However, he does look very European with his blonde hair and pale-ish eyes. He's wearing his black vest. I still find it amusing imagining him with an intellectual posh-Brit accent although, if Amestris can be superimposed onto a map of Britain, he'd most likely come from East Anglia and sound like a Fenlander (which is even more likely seeing as he comes from a small farming community...) And if we put in onto Europe he'd sound like he was from Lithuania ^^

Three hours of frantic pencil scribbling and smudging, sweat, blood, and tears were put into making this. And I can still see clearly every tiny little flaw...
