Dressed in white from head to toe
Like an angel she had a glow
With her angelic face so bright
She blinded the darkness in my eyes

She cleansed my thoughts and brought me light
Ignited a wish to start a new life
She gave me hope and convinced me its alright
brought the lost innocence back into my life

With her tender touch she put an end to my despair
She washed away the dark memories with her care
I believed I was incurable before i met her
She had everything I needed; all I had to do is surrender

Eveytime she tucked me in my bed
It felt like being layed to rest forever instead
Her kiss on my forehead was like a kiss of death
It numbed my agony and brought me rest
Just one more kiss is what I crave for
One more death and nothing more

She was falling hard for me
I could see it in her eyes
Although she cared about all her patients
She cared about me more than all the other guys

Her concern for others enraged me; made my heart throb
But her soothing smile assured me it was only part of her job
Her smile gave me solace; Calmed my confused mind
Brought me peace even though there was violence outside

I was hooked on to her; I needed no medication
All I needed was her undivided attention
But she insisted that the medication was important
Little did she know, she had become too significant

She never expressed her feelings for me
But I could sense it in her uneasy breath
She was afraid it would break a lot of hearts
Her ignorance towards mine made me hold my breath

My healing heart needed just one more thing
The nurse who loved me and made my heart sing

I couldnt take it anymore; I had to hear the words from her
This poison built up inside me was causing a stir
She was always busy helping someone else
Impossible thoughts began filling up my head

The healing process now began to hurt
I was left stranded in the middle of a desert
It felt like a disease slowly engulfing my mind
I couldnt think straight; I had to speak my mind

I finally told her how I felt
And waited for her to say the words I expected

But all I got was silence
and a look that suggested this had happened before
At that point I had realised
I didnt want to say the words anymore

I closed my eyes and wished it was all a dream
then opened them to find her looking at me
I then saw her looking at everything but me
I had given away the one person who couldve set me free

All she said was, "You're okay now. You need no help"
This time she expected me to help myself
She then went away and left me there bleeding
despite all the apologies and endless pleading
