the simplicity of your cels here, fantastic!
All on the spots that give enough dimension.
Very cool!

Do you have any tips on making line art? Your lines are so crisp. How do you do it? Are they solid black or slightly different colors? Did you do it by hand or on the computer? Did you do the lines before or after you colored everything? Etc.Β

Haha! I think these are all a dark brown on a multiply layer, except for the light blue lines around the lightning. I sketch first, then ink (I used Manga Studio 5 for this one, which has a lot of tools for smoothing out your strokes), then color.Β

Ah so you sketch on paper and then ink on the computer? Any clue where I can get that program?

Haha no, I sketch in the computer. These days I do everything in Photoshop. If you can't afford PS, manga studio from Smith Micro is a good alternative, though it can be a bit confusing to learn. Paint Tool Sai is also a good choice, I used to use that a lot.Β

How do you do your work on Photoshop and get such smooth lines, no pixelation though? The few times I have tried tracing on there, everything always comes out really choppy...

This is NICE! I really love the dark polish on his nails and the contrast of the energy around his hands.

How are you just like, the best artist? I don't understand. Your art can be so simple in concept, but your understanding of shadows, folds, anatomy, just turns them into amazing pieces so well done and finished and crisp and they have wonderful flow and I just get so emotional over it. :C

I love this! I think this is what I would like my style to be eventually.
I like how the shading is varied : sharp light/dark contrasts as well as smooth gradients. Which I cannot achieve because I'm on SAI and SAI doesn't do gradients. Wait, this wasn't done on SAI was it?
What are those balls on his legs?
--omg that question sounds so wrong XD
