These are pretty helpful on ways to make it look natural. My backgrounds usually look like something a kid drew.

Oh lord these are beautiful and so inspiring. ;_; I love how heavenly the lighting is and the atmospheric effect for the far background is ace. Cute trailer, too! It has a really traditional animation feel to it with the way the characters are drawn.Β

We did!! It's kind of bonkers looking back on it--we put the whole thing together with just four people (three animators and me). But oh god, do I ever hate trees now. NO MORE TREES. NOT ALLOWED.

Jeez it's so fun to see these after watching the trailer. Seeing these in the animation and seeing them now is just really neat. I'm in love with how you draw sunlight, I can just SEE how warm it is. XD

These are beautiful. So simple yet effective. Bgs/bg artists don't get enough love in my opinion. I often find myself ogling pretty backdrops and scenery instead of characters themselves aaaaand then I miss all the important plot parts but it's worth it really. (Open Season comes to mind, as meh as the movie was I thought it had very nice and vivid painterly backgrounds that blended nicely with everything else).
Also whoever voiced the little blue guy is funny as hell. Great job all around.
