Description This is a another rhododendron plant in my garden that wanted to flower a lot this year.

I really quite like this shot, I think it's the best composition-wise I've ever taken, plus I think I finally managed to properly use DOF to get different shades and suchnot. By the way, this isn't shot in a studio, despite what you might think from the colours, this was shot in bright sunlight and the effect was achieved using shaded areas and brightly lit areas.

You're right, this is very well composed. If it were a person, this would be a proper portrait. Such beautiful colour! I love reds and pinks.

Sadly we all do, but ......if you can find some time to break up the monotony, and not take it too seriously, than life is great. Hey I almost bitched about having to be here today, and then thought, I have a home, I have a job, I don't live in New Orleans, or Mississippi, my heart wrenches for those people. So I can't and won't complain.

I really like this flower; first, i like the sexiness of the wet feel of the petals. Also, i like the red to pink fade toward the center of the flower; it's as if the flower is framing itself
