I don't do many BWs
You really considering to buy it?

mylifesong In reply to hellmet [2008-04-09 07:53:08 +0000 UTC]

Yes I am. Right next to antiques I have a passion for bws. Cause I'm sure that one would look great in my soon to be dorm room.

What kind of antiques do you like? I have passion for glass and chairs. I still can't afford to buy the kind I like, but it's allways nice to look But, the Giger's stuff first
The price is set to lowest as I allways do.. I haven't sold many prints, thanks

I like...picture frames...chairs are nice..mirrors. And brooches, dresses, and hair pieces. I'm currently trying to get my mom's old Dolce dress from before it was Dolce and Gabanna even though it's not antique they still don't make them anymore. Oh and bottles..and there was something else. But it's a lot of stuff.

Glass though is nice. The older the better. I want to go on a trip to Italy to get some old glass someday. But this summer I'm going to spend it in South America doing missionary work among other things so I'm going to be on the look out for antiques.

missionary work sounds great
Well, Italy is not the best place for antiques... They have very high prices..

Did you use a fish eye lens on this one? It's got an air of distortion to the edges that I like.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hellmet In reply to TanyaRW [2008-04-08 08:57:36 +0000 UTC]

No, my sigma 10-20 have this kind of distortion if you use it right.
I knew how I gona crop it when I toke this one

I'm currently saving money for an iMac or a MacBook Pro... but a wideangle lens will propably be the next thing I'll buy.

hellmet In reply to DanteDeRycke [2008-04-01 18:44:21 +0000 UTC]

Very, very usefull lens. Even not only for architecture and landscapes

DanteDeRycke In reply to hellmet [2008-04-01 23:39:49 +0000 UTC]

I believe so, I've had the possibility to try different types of Canon Lenses at the EOS Discovery and I had 2 favourites: the fisheye and the 10-20

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hellmet In reply to DanteDeRycke [2008-04-02 05:55:08 +0000 UTC]

10-20 is the best

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DanteDeRycke In reply to hellmet [2008-04-02 10:34:52 +0000 UTC]

I love both, the fisheye could give an extra dimension to photos like my The Never Ending Walk while I would use a 10-20 for buildings and landscapes

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hellmet In reply to DanteDeRycke [2008-04-02 16:25:28 +0000 UTC]

One day, I'll get the fisheye
Once you'll get 10-20, you won't use other lenses for like month or so
