Saber from Fate/Stay Night and Youmu Konpaku from Touhou Project....Finally got the courage to draw Saber! <3Β Of course, I wouldn't forget about Youmu <3
Two of my favorite characters from their respective verses.
I really think that Youmu could possibly be like Saber, if she had gone through the same sh$t Saber went through.
I also remember seeing her fight seriously in a non danmaku duel with another character in an mmd animation a few months ago, that kinda cemented my impression of her.
The background image was finished a long time ago, but I found no use for it until now.
I'm also pretty sure their are a number of Touhou x Type-Moon crossovers out there, but that doesn't mean I can't make one, right?
Fate series is belongs to Type-Moon.
Touhou Project belongs to Team Shanghai Alice/ZUN.

It has style, and the composition is pretty good altogether.
The details, however, are not quite holding up. Youmu's waistcoat(?) connects too perfectly to her skirt. There ought to be a visible separation there. Additionally, not many of the outlines are tapered, especially in the folds of the clothing. This makes them look somewhat flat. Roukanken also looks a bit distorted, but I can't quite tell how. It tapers very strangely for a long katana blade. Excalibur's shading is also somewhat simplistic, but that's not as noticeable. The shadows on Saber's dress are also very sharply visible. There aren't really any halftones, and the border of the shadow looks wobbly. Something also seems not quite correct about the hands.Β
The biggest issue I had was with the grass. I can clearly see the brushstrokes at the back, and the grass in the foreground seems very lazily done.Β
It's a good piece, but if you fixed those issues, it would be even better.Β
The sky is amazing, though even there, I can see the strokes of the circular brush very distinctly.

I'll admit, this would've been better, especially on the shadings and on Youmu. I was also pretty lazy with the grass. The thought of of drawing each and every piece of it kinda drove me away from doing it, and opting to take the lazy way out. I'll do what I can to avoid doing that again
I'll try to be more patient and attentive towards the details next time.
