Description
The lone cry of a wolfPiercing and shrieking
Vibrates through the nights raw air,
Shadows dance with foul contempt
As I stumble headlong
Through the forest of my fears.
The merciless snow
Stabs at my naked feet
Like daggers in the hands
of one posessed by loathing and revenge,
Yet still I stagger onwards.
Harrowing fog envelopes me
As I tumble and fall into chill icy waters.
The forest is trancended by eerie silence,
Amid stagnant and stench ridden pools
Creatures roam in search of food,
The frozen stream glints in the harsh daylight,
A face twisted and contorted in agony
stares out from a prison of ice.
