This is a drawing I did for my Danny Phantom/Kamen Rider Ryuki story If you don't Fight, you don't Survive. I've been thinking of drawing all of the characters that are in the story with their Rider counterparts and decided to do so. So first up is Danny and Dragon Knight.To those not familiar with Kamen Rider Ryuki or Kamen Rider in general. It's a Japanese franchise that started in 1971 and was the starting point of Henshin --transforming-- superheroes.The word 'kamen' translates to masked, so Kamen Rider means Masked Rider. Kamen Rider Ryuki's use of 13 Kamen Riders is a homage to the manga version of the first Kamen Rider where the the main hero faced off against 12 evil Kamen Riders.
Kamen Rider Ryuki is the 12th series of Kamen Rider and it focuses on 13 Kamen Riders fighting in a parallel world behind the mirrors filled with monsters that eat people. the 13 Riders form contracts with 13 mirror monsters and gain their powers in order to fight each other for the ultimate prize, whatever they desire. In American this series was adapted in Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.
My story takes the basic concept of Kamen Rider Ryuki, but it doesn't follow the storyline of it. The story is an AU where Danny and Vlad don't have ghost powers, and that several of the ghosts are humans for the need of characters to be the other 12 Riders. I also decided to use some of the names in Kamen Rider Dragon Knight because some of the names in Ryuki wouldn't make sense or are hard to pronounce. For Danny to be called Dragon Knight, it is because Ryuki means Dragon Knight so that was a no brainer.
Now on to Danny, he became Dragon Knight to save Sam who has one of the more deadly forms of cancer. He's also as one reviewer mentioned less of a wimp because he is a better fighter. Danny also has a few hidden talents such as being a great singer (he also happens to be a fan of Japanese singer Gackt.) and a decent cook. He is also a bit of a smart-ass, but he can back up his mouth. His views on his parents in this story is very low compared to his original, but he still loves them. His relationship with Jazz is more friendly since they rely on each other to keep themselves sane in the house. His relationship with Sam is more romantic as the two spend a lot of time together when he visits her in the hospital. He and Tucker are still best friends, but Danny keeps the fact that he's Dragon Knight from everyone.
He was given the Dragon Knight deck by a mysterious man and was told to fight against the other 12 Riders in exchange for Sam to be cured of her cancer. Danny agreed and now must fight against the mirror monsters and the other Riders. As Dragon Knight, Danny is classified as a balanced Rider due to have good close range and long range attacks, but he does not have any special abilities or personalized weapons like a few other Riders.
His deck contains cards that summon his weapons and power from his contract monster Dragredder. Dragredder is a large red metal Japanese dragon. Unlike the original Ryuki, Danny has a good relationship with Dragredder and in turn his monster is loyal to him. The sword in Dragon Knight's hand is his main weapon.
The weapons:
Sword Vent: A Chinese Broadsword fashioned after Dragredder's tail tip called the Drag Saber. It is Danny's most frequently used weapon
Strike Vent: A gauntlet fashioned after Dragredder's head called the Drag Claw. This is Danny's only long range weapon that fires out a burst of flames with Dragredder assisting him.
Guard Vent: Attaches two shields that resemble Dragredder's underside with his legs to deflect attacks. Can be attached to either his shoulders on his forearms.
Advent: Summons Dragredder to fight
Final Vent: Summons Dragredder to assist Danny with his Dragon Rider Kick. Dragredder circles around his master before Danny jumps into the air with Dragredder following. Danny then flips forwards to deliver a flying side kicked powered by Dragredder setting him on fire.
Well that's the story behind this drawing and I plan on doing the other 12 Riders and people behind the armor. If you are interested in the story it is on Fanfiction.net, so take a look. You don't really have to know anything about Kamen Rider Ryuki to enjoy the story since I'm using the basic concept and making it similar to Ryuki, but different at the same time. Well given how I drew this before Kamen Rider Ghost was even conceptualized, it can't be helped.

Funny thing is, of all the Riders, I always pictured that Danny would crossover with Den-O first. One that involves Danny becoming Ryotaros' temporary fifth form at one point. Ryuki's okay as well, I suppose.

If it was a sequel or side story to your main Kamen Rider story, it'd be an interesting jumping off point: A mysterious ticket gives Danny the opportunity to find out what happened to his parents.

Confidentially, I'd mostly want that story written to get more of the Imagins. I LOVE those guys, especially the four that make up Den-O's forms.

Sweet. I agree with that reviewer about being Danny being a badass instead of the wimp who let people like Dash walk over him, that one of the few things i hate about the show, i know he wants to keep his powers a secrets but come he could at least fight back against Dash, plus people in the town are stupid they couldn't figure out that he was Danny Phantom

This drawing is very good! Sorry I forgot to comment, but sometimes I just don't have the time to do anything but fav. I try my best to comment ASAP, especially on drawings I like(AND I LOVE THIS ^^)
You're very skilled with anatomy, which is something that I struggle with A LOT. I also think that this drawing came out very well! Nice job! I might recommend getting some inking pens as it will really make the drawing pop out of the paper! Other than that, you should definetely draw the other 11 riders and their human counter-parts. I will try and invest in some time to read this fic over break, but I do have a lot of homework...I will get to it as soon as I can.
