I really like this! The first thing that struck me was how the flash from the gun seems to illuminate the wound/blood. In my mind I liken it to shining light on the monster, and that brings a whole set of light vs. darkness themes to the piece. And then you have the hunter looking very rouge-ish, bringing depth to the white knight role. All in all, it's a very engaging piece. Oh, and the artwork is excellent too

Хорошо вышел! Свет отлично получился.Только согнутая нога как-то смущает... Такое чувство будто у него 2 правых ноги.

Amazing picture. Do you paint stuff like this from scratch or do you use textures?

i did that from scratch.

I must take note to clear my head more creatively next time...instead of just cussing up a storm.

Awesome cape and glasses! Loved the steampunk characteristics.
Ahh if you don't mind, a simple question. I'm researching about the pros and cons of greyscale vs color from the beggining. Did you started this on black and white or was it color straight away?
I'm just looking for what kind of results different people get with this methods.
And again, great painting!

usually i start with rough lines and spots, just black and white. After i pose the characters i sketch the background and some parts of decoration if needed. Sometimes i just do the character.
Then i'm making my line layer ;"multiply" grab a bucket tool and just fill all my sheet with some dark color and start to add the light and so on.
But sometimes i do it in black and white and apply color in overlay, color and normal layers above it, but i simly find this way more complicated and time consuming. (for me) but it gives a certain benefits when you painting something with very modest gamma.
