Description
Great white egret. Up to 1 metre tall with a wingspan up to 170 cm. Killed in very large numbers for their plumes, the egret became the symbol of the Audubon Society, which has as part of its purpose, the prevention of killing birds for their feathers.
Pencil drawing by beginner artist. Profit from art sales is donated to wildlife conservation and anti-cruelty campaigns. Artist's entire estate is bequeathed to same.
