See, I have this theory that any gem be it Quartz, Ruby, Pearl or even Sapphire can replicate anything like weapons and clothing based on the semi-sentient thought processes of the personality within, A Gem Scientist discovers this and Rose Quartz finding out about this Discovery, inquires with The Scientist if say a human being could be replicated and after numerous calculations The Scientist came to the conclusion that based on the complexities of Organic Life as a whole that it is possible but requires more power than any gem was ever made to generate even a Quartz wouldn't be to perform such a task and not crack under the strain unless she were to sacrifice her physical form. Hmm...

I personally think shapeshifting is not enough for 3 reasons.
1: You need more than just a woumb to fertilize someone, you need an uterous, vulva, fallopian tubes and a long etc.
2: I'm not really sure how "gemetics" work, but i am pretty sure that an alien mineral's shapeshifted reproductive system like Rose's wouldn't quite biologically and genetically match to a hominid primate like Greg's.
3: And even if all those things i mentioned are actually plausible (which i doubt) how did Rose have the enough knowledge to fully understand human developement and growth Remember when she almost put Baby Sour Cream in danger just because she didn't understood that human babies are not the same thing as human adults? My point here is if Rose didn't knew the basic requirements of how to take care of a child, i highly doubt she had the enough knowledge of how to make one in the first place. Besides, even IF Greg explained and teached Rose ALL of those afromentioned processes, it would have been an extremely unlikely and ackward situation anyways.

All of which is totally irrelevant because 1) it's been explicitly stated that Gems do not have gender and 2) Steven clearly exists in-universe. So you can complain all you like but you also can't possibly be right.

I don't really buy that they're genderless even if it's canon. To me it just seems like an excuse so the show can get away with all the lesbian stuff. And although Steven exists in-universe, that and the womb stuff is not enough for me to not question about his existance. Saying that Rose got pregnant by shapeshifting a womb is like saying a cow mademilk by eating fake grass.

Have they ever explained the FTL system the Gems use to make things not take forever? If so, we'll need to evaluate that before continuing. If not, then you just straight-up lose because that's a bit more crucial to consistency than your actual problem.
