I think, this has to be my favourite of your works;
With all of the action in the photo, all of the splashing, the water's natural movement, and the implication of what the child is doing, the lack of 'movement' by the child is really enthralling! The body language captured here is so different that what is expected when watching children jump into water for a good swim. I would almost believe he's being held there by a sling-line you'd find actors attached to in Hollywood.
I keep looking at all the different points, and this photo is almost a message, even if unintended; something to say about the enjoyment of child's day, that isn't quite what it should be.
He is stiff and rigid, like the pier he has lept from, and caught just before he morphs into the playful free-moving creature in the wild elements that he feels the need to be a part of, just as his playmates below; not free until he hits the water!
