Obélix, Astérix and Idéfix! (or Dogmatix in English)I always loved these comics, and I still do. I remember I desperately tried to draw them a few years ago, but I just couldn't make it look a bit alike... now I can!
I'm quite happy with how this looks, especially the way Uderzo draws hands and faces looks nothing like how I normally draw.
I'm going to change the cleaned version of Obelix a bit, because I like him much better in the rough sketch. I guess I'll color it with acrylics or something (I don't have markers), so I'll probably mess this thing up
Obelix is shouting something like "ROMEINEN! Een heel stel toffe Romeinen!!"
To be scrapped.

I REMEMBER THEM. I don't know where I've seen them, but they are so very very familiar! I think I had some comic of theirs... someplace... gosh, it's been forever.

I loooove those comics.
I have them all in French, because I dislike the English version. One reason is that there's just some jokes that you can't translate into English.

Luckily the Dutch translations are very good, they kept all the jokes in there when possible, and thought up some new. But since a few years they have been re-translating the comics, and those are just really bad! And the worst part is they changed all the names... I have no idea why!

This looks great man... you could help churn out some books. I don't like the look since Uderzo passed away and Goscinny took up the drawing. Those guys are legends though.

Actually, Goscinny, the writer, is the one who passed away. Uderzo still draws, but I think he kind of lost his inspiration since Goscinny is gone. The first few albums Uderzo did on his own are still good, but I don't like the latest ones either.

Wow, this looks amazing! I've read all the Asterix books, and I love them a lot. Mostly the ones that were made before Goscinny died.
