So this is what qualifies for a DD in photography these days...
Add a subtle HDR in bracketed exposure layering, wash out more than half of the pre-existent color histogram with warm on auto, warm bias in RGB curves, and then finally in shadows and highlights.
If your intent with this image was to emulate film, film never looks like this, not even close with the onset of the vinegar effect after 50 years post exposure in storage.
If your intent with this image was to capture simply the completeness of the space, the obvious auras around the rooftops are like rain leaking through a thatched and weaved roof made of hay... it's simply not a roof to begin with, and this is not a complete image.
Why do I try in this world anymore... put all the effort, time, study, more study, field practice day after day... and yet the masses pass us by for the industrial product instead of genuine articles.
All of you commentors are hopeless syncophants to mindless change without forethought... to give of myself further is like putting pearls before swine.

Yes, it really is. When you visit Venice for the first time, be aware that Murano is a separate island which can be reached only by boat. It is well worth the visit.Β
