Shadows of the forest are needed to balance the presence of light. A Law Of The Universe states that balance always has to be present in nature. When there is no balance, natural catastrophes such as floods and fire can happen. Many forests are shadowy because of their nature. The large number of trees in a forest reduces sunlight, even blocking it out completely in some places. The world is in chaos, war has raged for many years now. It has now creeped into the forest sanctrary of the forest elementals. something must be done.
A lone battle hardened warrior has been guided here by forces he doesn't quite understand. He meets this forest guardian, an elemental who offers him a very powerful sword of light which can only be wielded by him. Not a word is spoken he feels what must be done with this gift of power and with this weapon he will vanquish all the oppose him. He accepts his gift knowing it must be returned when the war has ended. If it isn't really bad things will happen.
