As the limos were starting to roll in Medusa started to feel a bit anxious. Where was Faro? He was never the one to take that long in the lounge. A shower and a switch of clothes and then he was fit for the Next Big Thing - which in this case was the after party at the Terminus, the club of his old friend Don Plutonium. When Steamelf arrived Medusa went up to her and asked for Faro.
"No, I haven't seen him in a while. He said he'd be right down but that was like 30 minutes ago."
"So unlike him!"
"Yeah." Steamelf seemed to hesitate a moment, then she laid an arm around her friend's arm: "Dusa, I have a bad feeling about this. You know there were these weird masked guys here. With them black leather coats."

"Oh them? Didn't they belong to Silicon Ninja's backup dancers?"
"No they didn't. Fact is no one recognizes them, still they were seen around in the VIP hallway quite a lot. And there was something with them that gave me the creeps. They don't belong."
"Paparazzis, you think?"
"No, worse. But I don't know how worse."
"Tulip, who's up there with Faro?"
"His regular bodyguard Baldur and that new guy. The big black one whatshisname."
"Narenth, Cratos Narenth. I'm gonna go checking."
"I'm coming with you."
"You sure? I mean if you're right, if these blokes are dangerous?"
"Trust me, Dusa! Faro is my friend; I don't want anything to happen to him. And I can take care of myself."
