Dont know where your mind was going in Dreams dear
but it was the catalyst for a very beautiful Art

Yes, if one is able to remember the dreams and work upon them, one can make wonderful art. don't know what's going on in the brain when dreaming at least, but I consider it as unique freebies when it comes to inspirational materials. No copyright no nothing, one can just go ahead and play freely with it!

I've heard so many theories about dreams, that's it's everything from messages from the subconcious or the collective human consciousness, telepathic stuff we are aware of only when the brain is in restive movements, over being 'training sessions' to avoid dangers and getting rid of stress and junk to mere 'hard drive de-fragmentation' Personally I believe it to be a mix of it all.

And what best is - it can be amazing under the right circumstances! Just to be able to capture it and use it for art is great!

Yes I think Dreaming has much more to it then we think
but a lot of the time I think it is us sorting the jumble of crap
we have consumed and making sense of the days many thought
and external influences and then coming up with a few of it own interpretations ..

I think there is more to them but

Hera-of-Stockholm In reply to starlight2infinity [2013-07-05 21:55:55 +0000 UTC]

Yes, and sometimes we tend to solve problems within dreams - without even knowing it. Because I can have some difficulties which seems terrible and unsolvable, and then I go to bed to wake up the very next day with a solution in my head. Amazing!

We do have this expression here - to 'sleep on it' when we have something complicated, to see if we can come up with solution that way.

Yes, dreaming is an interesting subjects. We know so little about it and we sure strive to understand...

starlight2infinity In reply to Hera-of-Stockholm [2013-07-07 10:14:24 +0000 UTC]

yes same here "Sleep on it" ...funny I was going to mention that
but yes I do agree the best way to solve a difficult one is to
not think about it and usually after a sleep an answer just appears..

I do think we kinda astral project too in dream state and glimpse what is to be
thought never in a way that is of use to us as such, we are but the observer
maybe our future is written..and we are just in the present frame of the film..
anyway thats my mad theory ...I have my reasons for thinking so

Hera-of-Stockholm In reply to starlight2infinity [2013-07-07 20:36:57 +0000 UTC]

I don't think the future is set, but I think that when you stand at a certain point in life - the NOW, there are an endless possible futures, but a few propable ones, all based upon your choises and so on. Like if you was to board that plane that crashed later, you'd be dead, but what if you in the last minute decided to not go. Or missed your plane.

I remember once reading what was said to be a true story about a Dutch business man, who was supposed to be on one of those planes that crashed into the WTC at 9/11. His taxi ended up in a traffic situation on the way to the airport and he ended up missing his flight and had to re-book to a later. Which saved his life... What if that traffic situation had never happened, then his future would've looked quite a bit different. And that was a weak probability - that nevertheless came true.

oh yes I am a firm believer in our choices decided our fate
but I do wonder whether they arn't already made..

There was a guy whom use to do I think fortunes at a cafe once
he said he knew when people would die
but stopped telling them cause they would always try to beat the reaper...
and of course somehow they were taken..

But then you do wonder cuz here there was this young guy and this is fact
he was in an earthquake in his own country as a child ..it seems to all he had died
no hope or very little he had survived

but his father through his love would not give up and kept searching...he found him alive
and the family ended up living in Oz
this kid then later in life murdered both his parents and I think siblings or aunt as well
for their money you wonder had fate had its way if he wasn't truly meant to die
in that quake...and sadly for his family probably should have
there was another twist in this story
but I can recall what it was.

also there is that so many times we kick our selfs cause we just know we shouldn't have done
what we did and end up paying for it in some way
so choice? or preordained to happen by fate... one wonders..

Still I do think we do get little warning bells on things
that sometime we should listen to
but rarely do...

Some Dreams I've had never did eventuate
thought they had the same feeling as those that did..
so choice I think can still matter yes...

That reminds me of a book I read this winter which had a minor character who was a fortune teller who owned this new age shops with crystals and dream catchers and buddha statues and so on. And she used a tarot deck to tell people their future. The thing was that she was real and not a fake like everyone else - that is she was real with real magic powers. But she never told anyone if she saw them dying in the near future. She told them instead to have fun and to take care of themselves and of their friends and tell their beloved that they loved them. Because she DID KNOW that you cannot beat the reaper.

But I believe there's not ONE set future but several probable and possible ones and they are all affected by our free will - and the will of the people around them. After all, how much 'free will' do you have in a plane bound to crash?

Oh - enough of that depressing subject! I sure had a good laugh at that picture you sent me. Someone taking beach play very very serious apparently.

yeah true dear bit of a morbid subject
actually what we were taking about was bit twilight zone
with the game I just finished.... the ending
it was talking of exactly that choices! and what was will be
(Bioshock Infinity)

I had to laugh at that photo
and I was looking for a bucket and spade well I found one

A lot of beaches they do that one now cause of the
crap humanity leaves behind

I seem one of those House shows in Spain
they showed you them cleaning the beach ...
well nice to know its been cleaned before you put your towel down
Have fun Sweety

Yes, our beach here is not that crowded and not that trashed, so there's no need to clean it up as it is now. On the other hand there's a lot of dead seaweed coming ashore whem there's windy and the ocean is unruly. On the third hand, the farmers come and grab the seaweed and use it as manure on their fields. And that sure is a lot better than industrial manure which is not environmentally healthy. + it's free. All they need is a tractor, a trailer and a few hours of their lives

Well thats the way we should do things Dear

there was a need of fertilizer and it came into being after WWII
in England it was made..a lo t had the veggie patches during the war in which they
become even more important and you can guess how much short supply there was
from horses and cows  etc ..so it did come from need at the time

but like everything it become the easy way to do things..
(not to mention whom was making money out of it later )

but then of course here is the problem in our society
we are no longer self sufficient and everything done globally now so
it easier and usually cheaper to buy what we need then use what we once had
and sadly now those systems are no longer available

so we are trapped in the Global way of the world
were its a house of cards & we all depend on each other

Kudois to the Farmers thought for showing some initiative and doing that

Enjoy Dear and good to know they dont have to vacuum your beach

Yes, somehow the farmers here on the Swedish west coast have become very keen on doing the real thing and try to return to their old ways, when it comes both to crop and cattle. I imagine it's because they see that the customers are asking for these things. And taking in mind the latest meat scandals's it's understandable that people are getting more eager to retrieve locally produced, environmentally sound goods. People preffer to go to the local farmer for eggs than to go to the supermarket for instance.

On the other hand there was never anything wrong with horse meat lasanga. Other than that it was falcely labelled. Then again, just the idea of transporting meat all over Europe and back is something I find apalling. There are so much better ways to do it. Like the meat I cooked today, an elk shot by my mother's cousin in the woods not an hour's drive from here. Yum!

Tja vad skall man säga.
