Hehe, you're too kind. I'm glad you stopped to look at the details. I worry a lot of my watchers, and just people in general who see my work, just glance at my pieces and then move on, and that thought makes me somewhat disappointed with the amount of work I put into my stuff.

That's why I had to cancel possibly all but one this year (plus a super local one someone in my English class founded. 750 people last year, AND it's right on my college campus^^)

Uhhh I did horrible at Bronycon (from what I heard, possibly the worst out of every vendor there><) and I actually did better at the local one!

you were there last year? Did you vend?
I still had an amazing time, I think I was just unprepared,
and I didn't have a wide enough variety of merchandise.

I was never a vendor anywhere XP
Im glad everything went well. Being
unprepared is the worst, honestly I would
have been the same if I vended at babscon.
Last time I went, I took photos of the merch
other people had to get ideas of what to make.
Bookmarks sound like a good idea. ^^

bookmarks are a good idea! I MAY be having a few laminated things,
but I'm not sure. I don't know if i can make it to Bronycon this year,
and the other big one I'm going to is one where I'll be selling stuff at
a booth already mostly filled by the two people who are letting me
sell a few things at their booth.

Well, I'm glad you at least like part of it. I can't make every piece a masterpiece, but I've been getting faster, so that's good.

Wha?! For some reason this didn't show up in my deviations! D: I'm glad I spotted it in a group though; this looks fantastic! I'm really loving the perspective of this one, as well as Shy's hard and determined expression. You REALLY outdid yourself with the background and mood and overall atmosphere of this piece. I also really like the detail here, especially in... okay, well, everything. xD
This is seriously a fantastic painting. Yet another image from you I'd love as a poster. ;_;
Actually... you wouldn't happen to be selling these as posters online, would you? O:

Huh, funny story, I was thinking about it the day after the con, and I realized I may have one more of your posters than you have of mine. Our first art trade at the con got you my mane 6 poster, but you gave me 2 back with the intention of coming back to my booth to pick up your second one. I think I forgot about that during our second art trade, because I have 3 of your posters, and I only remember giving you 2 of mine. Then again I may be going crazy. If I'm not going crazy, and you do in fact only have 2 of my prints, this one's on me. And heck, if you know anything about selling prints online, and can help me out, I'll get you another print on the house.

Oh, I do have only two of your posters, but actually I thought that was what we agreed on. Your posters were so great I figured three of mine were a fair trade for two of yours. xD Buuuuuuuuuut if you're willing to send this badboy to make it even I'm certainly not complaining! 8D
Speaking of selling online, I do indeed know how to do that with prints. What would you like to know? O:

Where to sell them and how to package them when I ship them. That's the really important part. Also, a bit off topic, but where do you get your print sleeves at?

EarthnAshes In reply to Here-for-the-ponies [2014-08-16 23:36:33 +0000 UTC]
I personally just sell my prints here, and throw up a journal to advertise that I do sell the prints. That said, if you'd like to set up a free website that acts specifically as your print shop or perhaps sell your prints through places like Etsy, that works just as well. As for packaging, a good way to package prints is to sandwich them between two bigger pieces of cardboard and then tape them on all four sides so they don't slip out. This will protect the print from bending and damage. It'll be thicker, but you should still be able to fit it into the regular mailing package, and it shouldn't cost extra for it either. Some go a little beyond and throw the print into bubble wrapped packaging. O:
As for the sleeves, I got mine here:Β www.giftsintl-us.com/cellobag.β¦
Far more reasonable that Clearbags, and great in quality and quantity. C:

You sell prints on this site? Don't they pocket most of the money?
π: 0 β©: 1
EarthnAshes In reply to Here-for-the-ponies [2014-08-17 02:51:09 +0000 UTC]
Oh no, I don't actually use the site's print sale setup. It's like doing commissions; instead of actually using the site itself, you just post up in your journals that you're selling prints, and do it that way. You get every cent sent your way if you use this method. O:

Oh, so just have people pay you (like through paypal or whatever) and just have them order by noting you on the site?
