This is my favorite episode and my favorite pairing for G.I. Joe, so to see this all in one piece of artwork is like Christmas morning for me. Great work! I love the colors...and that expression on poor Mainframe's face.

If you slow it down, there's a mask there. It's technically a very poor unmasking for GI Joe. And the red wig really dominates the screen as they pull the camera back. But, there's a mask there. You just have to look closely.

Yes it does. Baroness gets a lot of the focus, but Zarana had, to me, the best storyline unmasking in the entire series.

Truthfully I usually got a kick out of the disguise yourself as thine rival schtick Baroness and Lady Jaye had going on every once in a while. Reminded me of that line from that one song. "Everything you can do I can do better" etc.

This entire storyline was a truly excellent example of masking serving the story. I understand that Cobra already had one mistress of disguise and might have had trouble explaining why they needed two, but Zaranna on her own was at least as interesting a character as the Baroness. Plus, the storyline was a very well-crafted metaphor about relationships. No one is ever precisely as they seem when you first meet them, after all. *grin* But in this case, Dialtone was able to genuinely impress Zaranna through her disguise. I really, really wish that they could have explored this variation of "Romeo and Juliet" more.
And, of course, this is a lovely unmasking visual, as well!
