OK, this is difficult for me and probably painful to you to read ulpan Hebrew that's forty years stale.

But indeed, apparently I actually do remember some Hebrew. I am delighted (and surprised). Maybe it won't be so hard to relearn it...
But right now I've got my hands full with the GIMP and digital photographic equipment and such. Hebrew will have to wait.

BTW, I've got a cat named Laila. Someone pointed out that the name is feminine (as is the cat), but the word is masculine. I never even noticed. So you could say, "Laila tov, aval laila lo tvah." Since it's a cat, we automatically know she's not a good kitty. They stopped making them a long time ago.

This is horrifying, that someone would kill so many people, let alone so many young lives, yet we know there are monsters like this out there. I pray for the souls of the dead and for the families in grief, for the good people of Norway and that they never see evil such as this again.
This is very thoughtfully done sister, you are a very compassionate and thoughtful person, all love.

It is difficult. Though I am not that keen on the science of mental health pathology, I am not so sure I trust it too much, I don't mean that some people do not have a mental health problem, but that not all who practice Mental health pathology do the right thing, or go about it the right way? It really is a touchy subject and, yes, makes it difficult. Though I do believe evil can be recognized. There is also the point that somone can commit an evil act and not know it was evil? And if they KNOW it is evil, then how can they have a mental health problem?

Hey, sister, there is a group here called KEVA, they are people who volunteered to work in Kibbutz in Israel. They apparently celebrate here every year with a Shabbat and a mini film festival (Israeli films), just saw it advertised in the local paper. All welcome to the Shabbat meal and the films! This year a collection of amateur films on KIbbutz life from 1930's & 1940's and a film called "Opperation Grandma" Which is a very well known favourite in Israel? I have not seen this one. Then they end the festival with a day by the seaside. Looking to attend, sounds really good!

That film is on my to do list, my sense of humor is still very American so local films are not my fav, just heads up Israeli movies can be a bit raunchy.

I'm feeling so terrible right now. I just read an article about the massacre in Norway. It's beyond my mind how someone is able to kill 90 innocent children. I hope they are in a better place now, I really do!
