Oh, the peril and the danger!

The beautiful flame-haired superheroine Arctica (portrayed by Bridget) was having a great time at Buckeye Comicon in Columbus, when suddenly she was assaulted by voracious space worms, courtesy of the diabolical Dr. Kalagayan of MeSseD Comics.

In his elaborate plan to exact vengeance upon Arctica for making him a wanted fugitive from justice and driving him deep into the sewers, Kalagayan planned for months in his subterranean hideout, manipulating the genes of microscopic alien creatures that he had found squirming inside a meteorite that had fallen to Earth. With his evil scientific genius, he was able to breed the worms to a gigantic size, large enough to menace a human being.

Crawling out of the Columbus sewers and frightening the attendees at the Comicon, the worms had been genetically programmed to seek out Arctica, homing in on the dark energy locked within her cells that activated her superpowers. Without warning, they slithered through the hotel lobby and attacked her from behind. She let out an anxious cry, "Oh no! What are these....these horrible things?"

Advancing on the heroine, the gigantic slimy parasites attempted to attach themselves fatally to her warm flesh, in order to drain all the delicious fluids from her shapely body with their ghastly sucking teeth. They drew closer and closer, even threatening to make lethal contact with her lovely blue lips in a grotesque embrace of death.

"Ugh!" she exclaimed, struggling mightily against them in her tight silver spandex outfit and flowing, silky white cape. "These worms are dripping their corrosive saliva all over my immaculate costume, and I just washed it for the Comicon. I've got to fend them off with a blast of extreme cold!"

Luckily, the Icelandic marvel was able to activate her amazing ice powers in time. She used her quick-witted skills in superheroic combat to subdue these grisly monsters from beyond the stars, immobilizing them with several strong ice blasts. The worms emitted a frightful shriek, as they were unable to withstand her frigid attack.

Arctica placed her ferocious foes in a deep sub-zero freeze, containing them in a block of solid ice for further study at her cryophysics laboratory, dedicated to the cause of scientific research.

"Don't worry," she assured the Con attendees nearby. "I'll keep this ice extremely cold for hours. It won't melt for a while, so there won't be any puddles on the hotel carpet. In the meantime, they'll be quite a visual attraction for the crowd, even an exciting backdrop for cosplay photos... get your picture taken with the space worms!"

"That's OK," replied the Con director. "I'm just glad that you were here to stop them in time, Arctica. It wouldn't have looked too good for any of our customers to end up as dried-up husks - hapless victims of these monstrosities."

Arctica smiled and nodded, flashing him her gorgeous smile. She was quite a desirable sight in her attractive attire. His heart went pitter-patter, but he knew he didn't have a chance with her, as she only went out with spandex-clad superheroines. Nonetheless, he was quite pleased when she gave him a reassuring peck on the cheek and an autographed color photo with her usual catch phrase: Warm Wishes and Cold Kisses. Her blue lipstick left a distinctive mark that he resolved not to wash off until the conclusion of the Comicon.

Then, she went back to signing photos and comic books at the #Comicsburgh booth, as if nothing untoward had occurred. The throngs lined up at her booth, eager to meet the valiant heroine who had bravely defended Columbus against the horrendous creatures from space.
