My homage to the front cover artwork of Transformers UK issue 22 - [link] This was the first Transformers comic I ever aqcuired as a kid back in 1985 and the image of Shockwave has stayed in my head since. Very good effort considering Shockwave was a toy not available in the UK at the time of G1.Cover art has always been the important curtain jerker element of the Transformers comic books which is an element the current new UK comics severly lack in favour of old movie stock imagery.
I like the Robot Heroes figures a lot! It brings back that same childhood appeal of collecting Smurfs all over again.

Now this is good. I had to come right to this one as I was looking at the thumbnails. No mistaking where the source came from. Its one of those striking images and of all the TF comics one of the most memorable. I love how this came out. Terrific and striking image with with the toy and all. I just love it!

I wish I had my better quality camera when I took that picture, as I think it could have come out a lot sharper.
There has been others like this picture since where I have seen other deviants used the same concept with Alternators Shockwave and Animated Shockwave. I could have started it off

Cheers mate. Looking back I know I could do a lot better. I may do a remake when the WST Shockwave toy is released or maybe Animated Shockwave just to be different.

That was one of the best covers in the old Marvel series.

The toy was never released in the UK either. One of many great G1 figures that never left the states.

I remember that now and the Deceps hung the Autobot carcasses from the ceiling upside down. Ratchet was the only survivor along with the dormant Dinobots.
