Description
So I got the inspiration for this scene from a D&D podcast I listen to. The party was traveling on a small boat through an overgrown swampy area. I liked the general description of the area and thought it would make for an interesting scene. I knew I wanted to add Link in the scene as well. Although rafts work differently in Breath of the Wild, with the Korok Leaf and a sail, I liked the idea of Link rowing the raft along the river.

The scene itself uses a lot of similar assets that I used in The Master Sword scene , though I tried to make this look a more jungle/swamp like so I added some lilypads and some hanging vines/branches. I added the heavy fog which, although it significantly increased the render time, I think really helped with the atmosphere of the murky swamp. I also added the lantern to be an additional source of light because the scene was pretty dark without it.

In Photoshop, I added the fog clouds around the water, since adding them in the actual render would have made the render time even longer. I also adjusted the contrast and lighting so things wouldn't be as greyed out with the fog. the last thing I did was add the ripple in the water around the front and back of the raft and around the oar.
