This is SFM poster week #45

Another week, another beastly poster. This time the unexpected continuation of weeks #31 and #32. Our lost astronaut found a strange alien device floating just above the surface of a shallow lake. Did she awaken something? Or was this something expecting here all along? One thing is certain, she's not alone on this planet, and the current residents are eager to meet her.

I started this poster without any real plan. Not for the lighting or the scene itself. I just wanted the aesthetic of a giant mysterious floating object. I just so happened to end up with this. I'm extremely happy with what I got. Yet another super orange poster to add to the archive.
Will the lost astronaut's story conclude before week 52? I have no idea whatsoever. With how 'on a whim' these past few weeks have been (not including spooky month) things have been consistently random. I don't even have any idea what that cube is. Either way, it'd be cool to find out.

I'll be sure to turn the incredible brightness to 12 for next week's poster.
