As part of the Heroverse, Upon reaching Gohan and Videl's house, Goku told everyone that he had his transformations wished away by Emperor Pilaf which shocked Chi Chi. And as Gohan questions how will he get the Black Star Dragon Balls back, King Kai warns the gang about the danger of the Black Star Dragon Balls not being brought back to Earth within a year and that the planet will be destroyed by it's black magic. This shocked everyone as Goku had no choice but to form a team to travel to space and retrieve the Black Star Dragon Balls before the year passes.
