actually, i'll give the favorite vote back if you rotate it so the base is in the bottom left or right corner... having it in the top left has a counterproductive effect and is negative overall for the composition i feel

ok ok, but I'm curious... what unique purpose does the composition accomplish through your intentions then?

by having the base in the top half of the picture fading away towards the bottom of the pic I have tried to show things getting smaller the further you walk from it (start close - end far away). If i was to have it so the base is at the bottom of the pic then in my mind it makes you want to walk along the narrowing lines like a cliche` of 'what is in the unknown' image of a road or railroad. I guess im trying to say is I don't want to draw the eye forward but make it seem like the object is being taken further away as you draw your eyes down the page.

didnt do anything special really. i set my tripod up to a weird angle to try and get the perspective i was after (something that plays on your mind) and then with a shutter of ~2.5s i let the ambient lighting above the escalator to come into full effect

no manip, just a escalator with some funky neon lighting. shot with 3s shutter.

this is a really nice photo, I like how you use the perspective to add almost a massive appearance to something thats actually small.
