Human Name: Arissa Wong (アリッサウォン, Arissa U~on)

Human Age: 16

Birthday: August 31st

Blood Type: O-

Height: 165 cm (5’5)

Weight: 130 lb

Hair Color: Black

Eye Color: Dark Brown

Complexion: Over all pale, slightly tanned

Outfit and Hair Style: (Casual/Formal) Malaysia is shown to wear
a crimson qipao-type shirt with black-trimming, much like China’s. With sleeves that reach past her knees when her arms are at her side, along with a matching crimson with black-trimming skirt that reaches her thighs, with a pair of black tights that stop at the ankle and black slippers. Her hair is also shown to be up in two Chinese style buns on either side of her head along with a red hibiscus in the right-side of her hair.

(Military) Malaysia’s military outfit consists of a long-sleeved dark grey shirt with multiple chest pockets and three red stripes on each sleeve, over a black button down shirt and red tie. Also dark gray pants that are held up by a dark brown belt with places to store weapons such as grenades and knifes of the sorts, two dark brown belts are placed on the outfit, on around the hips for easy access to weapons, and another around the shoulder and attached to the other belt. The outfit is finished off with black heavy-duty combat boots, and an armband around the arm with a golden star. When Malaysia wears this outfit it has been modified, the sleeves are much longer and wider hanging over her hands. Also the belts and pockets have been removed and the pants are replaced with black tights along with black slippers for shoes, and she also adds a dark gray hat with a red circle in the middle with an attached red hibiscus and talon.

Personality and Interest: Arissa is a quiet and somewhat shy person, at a young age Wang Yao founded her in the mountain wilderness in Malay all alone. At a young age she was known to be a bit awkward around others due to being isolated most of her life and tended to say things that offended people when not indented. So she tended to be a bit emotionless, stoic and reserved. But after being raised by Wang Yao she opens up and gains confidence, she didn’t fight Kiku when he took over Malay to be part of his nation, due to growing up with him. When Arthur took over Arissa as an English Colony she offered little rebellion due to still being young, she was still allowed to see and be in contact with Wang Yao and she did grow close to Arthur seeing as a father like figure. But when Arissa demanded independence and Arthur allowed so she began a strong nation who was neutral with most nations, also losing her soft-spoken side. She is known to be innocent and naïve, but when angered or threatened it has been noted she creates a cold atmosphere, it has been noted that she doesn’t fight with violence, instead she fights with sharp words, that leave her opponent shocked and confused. Malaysia also has a sixth scent like England and is able to see Flying Mint Bunny and all the magical creatures he can see as well, along with her own; consisting of a pair of mischievous pair of twin pandas named “Ying” and “Yang”. Arissa is very proud of her history, culture and people, and will defend ably whenever someone talks ill of them in her presence. She is well known for her peaceful, quiet past as well as her pacifistic nature. Although she has had some bloody battles. Although quiet, Malaysia can become aggressive with her words when provoked, but over all holds a quiet and peaceful demeanor. She tends to be a bit overly curious when it comes to things that intrigue interest; an example being when she became interested in England’s culture while under control, and wished to know more and more. Malaysia usually hates to fight in wars and tends to stay neutral; leading her to usually be captured and pressured by other countries to join forces. She loves playing the Erhu along with other arts such as painting and architecture. Malaysia also has a strong love for legends and mythology as she takes part in storytelling and fortune telling. She is always seen eating Kuih Loyang (A Honeycomb Cookie/Cracker) claiming that, “the sweetness helps her think”, Malaysia also enjoys limau (A Chocolate Drink) and also likes to eat lychee cake. Malaysia has a deep love for all the wildlife in her nation, such as the Tarsiers and Tigers. But Malaysia’s favorite animals are pandas, cats and dogs. When outside Malaysia likes to climb to the top of mountains and trees and watch the clouds, and wildlife, doing this makes her feel truly at peace.

Bad Habits/Traits/Quirks/Pet peeves
•Arissa has a tendency to say “lah” after most of her sentence, along with the occasional “aru” from growing up with China
•Malaysia has an obsession with her pet Panda Lucu that she received from her big brother China
•She hates it when people comment on how “cute” she looks when she blushes
•Malaysia has a bad habit of twitting her fingers when nervous/embarrassed/or being shy
•Her deepest secret is her desire to wear Russia’s scarf

Pets: Malaysia owns a small black kitten named Hitam (also known as Malacat by the other cats). She shares similar personality traits with her master; including an interest towards Greece’s cat. Malacat is considered to be quite intelligent as she has learnt how to use tarot cards. Malaysia’s other pet is a panda bear named Lucu, who she received from China on the day she gained her independence from England. Lucu is the polar opposite of Malaysia and both tend to have conflicts with Malacat; Lucu is a lazy and egoistic animal. Lucu hates not having Malaysia’s attention on her at all times, and because of that Malaysia is forced to carry both her around with her. Lucu is shown to be difficult to get along with and is very finicky; the only people that she allows to touch her are Malaysia, China, Japan, and Taiwan.

Family
Father: England
Mother: Unknown
Older Brother: Japan
Eldest Brother: China
Half-Brother: Hong-Kong, Korea
Half-Sister: Taiwan

Curl: Malaysia’s curl has been with her since an early age; it is stubborn and difficult to tame, so Malaysia has given up on taming it and just lets it stick up how it wants. It has been suggested her curl may also function as an ‘erogenous zone’; evidence being Malaysia became horribly flustered when it was curiously touched by Russia when he noticed it for the first time.

Mochi: The Malaysia Mochi is sweet, caring, and shy. Most happy when she has her face buried in a book or chatting with other nations. There aren’t any Mochi in particular to keep her away is, but one Mochi that should be kept away is the Belarus Mochi, Mochi that is good for her to be around are the Asian Mochi and England Mochi. Let it be noted Malaysia Mochi will sometimes speak her native language, confusing her English speaking owners out of amusement. Malaysia Mochi will become moody if not fed Kuih Loyang at least eight to ten times a day in medium-size quantities. Also before and after meals be sure to give her a glass of limau. WARNING: Do Not touch/pet/tug Malaysia Mochi’s curl in, if touched Malaysia Mochi will become flustered and go into hiding.

Relationships

America (Alfred F. Jones) Malaysia and America have a good friendship, for America has one of the largest investments in Malaysia. Both Malaysia and American launched a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) in June of 2006. As of 2010 both sides have yet come to conclude a FTA despite eight rounds of talk. Malaysia does not only view America as an export market for Malaysian manufactures, but also a source of technology and talent, especially in the areas of technology and finance. American and Malaysia both enjoy strong security cooperation; Malaysia hosts the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Counterterrorism (SEARCCT) where over 2,000 officials from various countries have received training. America is among those foreign countries that have collaborated with the center in conducting capacity building programmes. America and Malaysia share a strong military-to-military relationship with numerous exchanges, training, joint exercises, and visits.

England (Arthur Kirkland) Malaysia and England have a strong relationship, for England has high commission in Kuala Lumpar as well as Malaysia having high commission in London, both nations being full members of the Commonwealth Nations. England claimed and formed protectorates and settlements in the Malay Peninsula, but Malaysia became independent in 1957, as the Federation of Malaya, Sabah, and Sarawak also became independent in 1963, and joined with the Federation of Malaya, to form Malaysia. Both England and Malaysia are part of the Five Powers Defence Arrangements.

China (Wang Yao) Malaysia and China have a brother-sister relationship due to China raising Malaysia as a child. Because of their close relation the two were able to for the Sino-Malaysian relationship; this relation was made 35 years ago. Malaysia and China both formed a bilateral-trade in order to increase the share of higher value and higher-tech products and service. Both China and Malaysia are determined to fix all the land-dispute problems they may have in order to increase the deep relationship between the nations.

Germany (Ludwig) Malaysia and Germany have a neutral relationship to which both hold a high respect for each other. In May 2005, Malaysia and Germany discussed having an economical and political relationship, this meeting allowed Germany to have an important partner in the Muslim World. Malaysia has been Germany’s principle trading partner among the ASEAN countries for several years. Trade approximately amounted up to 7.6 billion Euros, 9.67% up from the previous year.

Japan (Kiku Honda) Malaysia and Japan have a close brother-sister relationship. After losing Malaysia to England, Japan, in order to regain ties proposed the “Imitative for Japan-ASEAN Comprehensive Economic Partnership” in 2002, to which Malaysia gave her full support to. Malaysia welcomed Japan warmly, but stressed the need to start consultation between the two governments. This was later followed by the two deciding to hold an official level consultation for the purpose of establishing the economic partnership between Japan and Malaysia, which may include elements of free trade agreement. Following the aforementioned series of high-level discussions, the two governments decided to set up the Working Group (WG) on Japan-Malaysia Economic Partnership (JMEP). Japan and Malaysia remain in good terms with each other as nations and trading partners.

Russia (Ivan Braginski) Russia and Malaysia have good relations, for Russia has an Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, and Malaysia has an Embassy in Moscow. The Soviet Union established diplomatic relations with Malaysia on April 3rd, 1967. In November 1967 Soviet Union Representation was established. On October 4th 1967 Agrremant on Economic and Technology Cooperation was signed. Ties between the two suffered when Malaysia declared its support for Afghanistan during the Soviet Invasion throughout the 1980’s. However, relations between Moscow and Kuala Lumpar recovered following the conflicts end, and both nations have both since put aside historical indifference and helped replenish diplomatic, economics, and military discussion.

Australia (Nicholas Kirkland) Malaysia and Australia have a neutral relationship. Australia and Malaysia established a trading agreement, for Malaysia is Australia’s third largest trading partner in the ASEAN. Australia and Malaysia have strong defense links with each other through the Australia-Malaysia Joint Defense Programme, and Five Power Defence Arrangements which in England, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia. The relationship includes the training of Malaysian military personal in Australia, combined exercises, and an Australian presence at RMAF Butterworth in Malaysia. Malaysia and Australia have also signed an agreement in 2002 to cooperate in combating international terrorism.

France (Francis Bonnefoy) Malaysia and France’s relationship is relatively new, but can be tracked back. The first significant memories of France’s presence was in Malaya when the British protectorate. France was also one of the 15 privileged nations making a gesture to open an embassy in Kuala Lumpar since 1957. Since more than half-a century, the two nations have been committed to strengthen the ties, which have always been amicable despite the distance.

History: Malaysia is a country in South East Asia whose strategic sea-lane position brought trade and foreign influences that fundamentally influenced its history. Hindu and Buddhist cultures imported from India dominated early Malaysian history. Malaysia reached her peak in the Sumatran-based Srivijaya civilization, whose influence extended through Sumatra, Java, the Malay Peninsula and much of Borneo from the 7th to the 14th centuries. Although Muslims had passed through Malaysia as early as the 10th century, it was not until the 14th and 15th centuries that Islam first established itself on the Malayan Peninsular. The adoption of Islam by the 15th century saw the rise of number sultanates, the most prominent of which was the Melaka (Malacca). Islamic culture has had a profound influence on the Malay people, but has also been influenced by them. The Portuguese were the first European colonial powers to establish themselves in Malaysia, capturing Malacca in 1511, followed by the Dutch. However, it was the British, who after initially establishing bases at Jesselton, Kuching, Penang and Singapore, ultimately secured their hegemony across the territory that is now Malaysia. The Anglo-Dutch Treaty of 1824 defined the boundaries between British Malaya and the Netherlands East Indies (which became Indonesia). A fourth phase of foreign influence was immigration of Chinese and Indian workers to meet the needs of the colonial economy created by the British in the Malay Peninsula and Borneo.
Japanese invasion during World War II ended British domination in Malaysia. The subsequent occupation from 1942 to 1945 unleashed nationalism in Malaya and Borneo. In the Peninsula, the Malayan Communist Party took up arms against the British. A tough military response was needed to end the insurgency and bring about the establishment of an independent, multi-racial Federation of Malaya in 1957. On 31 August 1963, the British territories in North Borneo and Singapore were granted independence and formed Malaysia with the peninsular states on 16 September 1963. Approximately two years later, Singapore was expelled from the Federation. A confrontation with Indonesia occurred in the early-1960s. Race riots in 1969 led to the imposition of emergency rule, and a curtailment of political life and civil liberties which has never been fully reversed. Since 1970 the "National Front coalition" headed by United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) has governed Malaysia. Economic growth dramatically increased living standards by the 1990s. This growing prosperity helped minimize political discontent
