Jool grabbed his fingers gently with her hand and kissed his fingers. After a couple of days in the village, they were not the best tasting, but she forgave that. The couple touched foreheads. Their love was as strong as ever, and they knew it!

The two walked silently to the plane, where the happy spacer crew awaited them.

Everyone would eat warm meals and have a secure place to sleep. Except Casey, who would stay with the spacer one more night.

Another round of storms was coming in as the afternoon progressed. These appeared to be coming early. Preparations needed to be made to secure the wreck.

Despite protestations, Casey ordered Roz aloft with the crew of the spacer. He would stay with the wreck. However, Jool insisted she stay as well. Despite their emotional discussion earlier, he knew that his wife loved him dearly. She'd done what he'd always asked her to do and been his moral compass.

She also didn't have a problem when Casey suggested they be well armed when they met the Aireans.

"I promised you I would never come to bed angry." she whispered over the ever-increasing wind as they walked to the spacer. She kissed him on the cheek and got him to smile.

"At least we were able to shower and get some food!" he said with a grin.

"Yes, we were!" Then she asked. "Are you coming straight to bed now?"

He answered. "I thought we'd sit in the hatchway and watch the rain come in." "Are you game?"

"Am I...?" She looked confused for just a moment then smiled. "Yes!" "Yes, I am game!"

So... the two life partners sat on the hatch opening and watched the clouds billow. Finally, the wind got too strong and the lightning too frequent. Sharing a kiss as intense as the incoming weather, they retreated into the spacer and secured the hatch.

Next week, things get a little steamier...
