Socials & Commission Info "My light in the darkness."
Drawn and painted using PS CS5 & Clip Studio Paint, with a Wacom Intuos 5 tablet.
Began sketching this right after playing BBS:A Fragmentary Passage; also listened to its soundtrack while painting this.Β
The ost is so sad and yet so very beautiful, it fits Aqua's story wonderfully. I'm not crying, you're crying
Anyone else think the realm of darkness/dark world is actually a pretty place?

Already told you this but: this is really good. I love what you did with the lighting and the sparks of light around the wayfinders in particular. Also the folds of Aqua's clothes are really well done, way to go!

I appreciate it! I had so much fun making the wayfinders all glowy & glittery. Tbh, originally I'd envisioned them holding random glowing stars, then suddenly was like "Stars?? Just draw the wayfinders, that's cooler."
Also, I never really know what I'm doing with drawing clothes, and sort of just kept randomly shading things until I thought they looked okay. Glad it turned out well.

This is such a meaningful picture, it shows Aqua's deep devotion towards their friendship and the strength she gets out of it.
And yes, the Realm of Darkness is actually a quite beautiful place (maybe except for the pureblood heartless that try to steal
your heart...), you captured the place's atmosphere perfectly btw, the colour scheme is really neatΒ Β

Oh dear, how long I took? :'D
I took nearly a month alone to sketch & lineart it, since I couldn't at first decide exactly what pose I wanted them in, and then had to figure out how arms and hands even look at those angles.
Then the painting took over three weeks, so nearly another month. Of course, I didn't work on it every day of those months, and probably just several hours at most on the days I did.
I honestly don't know how many hours it took total. It's something I try not to think about much when I draw. lol
