Description
For the longest time I've wanted to do some decent (by my cruddy standards) of Dimentio. Sadly, I never got around to it until now. At least I don't feel it is too cruddy. Tried a couple of things with the shading. Some successful, some not. Ah well. And the background. I half like it but I don't. But I didn't want to use the standard old voidy-cloud background that 89538423987439 people use. At least, not without a more dynamic twist. And I slapped a dimensional rip showing Dimension D in there because I feel it's a big part of Dimentio. It needs moar love.After this piece I feel like playing Super Paper Mario again. I SO TOTALLY AM. SOMETIME WHEN I AM NOT LAZY.

Alright, the hands ... There's something wrong with his hands... And, this is more of my personal opinion, but I don't think the neck looks very good. And the dimensional rift doesn't look rifty enough. Other than that it looks great! I really love the color!

Well, could you tell me EXACTLY what is wrong with the hands? I'd like to look out for that in the future. As for the neck, I've had difficulty with it in the past, and I'm still quite rusty with this guy after not having drawn him for a long time.

Wow gorgeous! If I may give a piece of critique, I do feel his head is a bit too small, and a bit too...um, I guess the word would be "jutted forward", as well. But still, very beautiful, love the coloring job here!

Haha, well, I used a method that is somewhat similar to cel-shading, but instead, I smoothed the shading out, then darkened it in some areas using another layer. SAI's vectoring tools came in handy for the lines. Then the rest was just winging it. XD

It's worth a shot. Sometimes I find myself using it more than Photoshop.

I daresay your coloring is improving. There are definite planes of shadow here and the colors have a bolder saturation. I think my favorite thing is that glowy little pinwheel he's got floating there.
