I know something about the Pokemon Sun and Moon anime that would surprise many.
Apparently the Sun and Moon Ash came straight from Kanto (after the 20th movie) so that means he doesn't know any of his past companions as Sun and Moon Ash.
So it's just an AU Ash (like how the SM games have alternate universes)

I wonder if in this world Lillie and Gladion's mom will be good and Guzma and Team Skull will be the main villains in the anime. Seems like the anime story is going to be different than the game story since there's no cosmog.

I was very annoyed that Gladion is apparently not a member of Team Skull in the anime, but Gladion having Type: Null in the anime makes up for that. Kind of.
